Clearance Information
Some volunteer positions require no clearances, but most positions require the Pennsylvania Criminal History Background Check. Directions on obtaining or renewing this clearance can be found at https://epatch.pa.gov/home.
Volunteer Opportunities
| Position | Description |

| 412 Food Distribution | Meet the 412 food driver one day a week. Divide the food evenly among the four houses. Deliver food to each house & place in refrigerator. |
| Events Fundraising | Help brainstorm, plan, and set up events and fundraising opportunities with Resurrection Power staff. |
| Gardening | Work to pull weeds, plant flowers, and so on. This is a seasonal position. |
| Handi-Work | Has knowledge and expertise to help with minor and everyday issues around the house. Utilize skills such as HVAC, plumbing, painting, construction, and electrical work, among others. |
| Mentoring | If a resident would like a mentor, this volunteer would be available to support and guide them as needed. Examples: share a meal, shop, teach a skill or lend an ear. On an as-needed basis. (Gender specific) |
| Office | This depends on the needs of the Operations Director. Examples: scanning, filing, entering data, picking up mail & stamps, etc. |
| Provide Transportation | Many of our residents do not have vehicles. This volunteer would be willing (as needed) to take a resident to the store, doctor's appointments, work, and Christian recovery bible study. (Gender specific) |
| Spirituality Leader | This volunteer would meet the residents at their house and lead them in learning about spiritual matters once a week. (Gender specific) |
| Supplies | Once every two weeks, this volunteer will shop for household supply needs at Sam's/Walmart and deliver what is needed to each of the four houses. |
| Volunteer Coordinator | Central point of contact for volunteers. This volunteer would participate in outreach, collect questionnaires, collect backgroud checks and spiritual gifts inventory. |
I volunteer as a way to give back to the community. I became familiar with Resurrection Power through my church and have now been delivering food to the Rez houses for the past two years.
